The band.

This unusual quintet was founded in 2012 by harpist Katarzyna Zabielska.

Initially, the group performed as a trio: harp, violin, viola.

Soon after, the line-up was expanded to include double bass and vocals.

Since then, the ensemble has been performing their arrangements with signature harp sound at a wide variety of venues and events.

Queentet is well-known in the lineup of live performers on Radio Krakow.

They have performed many live concerts broadcasted by s-5 of Radio Krakow.

Playing at special celebrations such as the 90th anniversary of Radio Krakow and the 100th anniversary of Podgorze joining Krakow.

Queentet has performed for audiences of all ages, including the World Youth Day 2016, just to name a few.

Their interesting arrangements accented by the harp in the background delight all listeners.

Weronika Rosali Kołodziejczyk

Vocal

Weronika completed her degree at the General Music School in Tarnów; first on piano, later moved on to study classical guitar.

She started performing on stage at a young age, in theater and ballet productions. She participated in many recitals and vocal competitions. Some of her accolades include winning 1st place two times in a row at the review of Poetry and Patriotic Songs (9th and 10th). She also won Golden Band in the 3rd International Choral Competition of Sacred Music with CANTICUM IUBILAEUM (a Limanowa mixed choir). In addition to being a guest singer with groups, she has performed as a soloist, and was a member of Tarnów’s mixed choirs for many years. Retro music is another passion of hers.

Aleksandra Panasiuk

Violin

Aleksandra studied under professor Mieczysław Szlezer at the Academy of Music in Kraków and graduated with honours from the General Music School Mieczysław Karłowicz. She honed her skills under the tutelage of outstanding violinists such as Zachar Bron, Janusz Wawrowski, Herwig Zack, Bartosz Bryła, Wiesław Kwaśny, Anna Gutowska, Robert Szreder, and Roman Lasocki.

Aleksandra has performed as a soloist with Krakow Philharmonic orchestra in Poland, Germany and the Netherlands. Collaborating with multiple orchestras such as Opera na Zamku in Szczecin, Krakow Chamber Opera, Lutosławski Youth Orchestra in Poland, and Preussisches Kammerorchester in Germany. She has traveled the world playing on the largest Polish stages, as well as in Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, China and Iceland.

She has taken part in many festivals, including Crazy Music Days in Warsaw, Festival of Jan Kiepura in Krynica, Telemann Festival in Żary. She has perfected her chamber performances under the mentorship of Anna Armatys-Borella, Justyna Duda-Krane and Anna Gutowska.

Katarzyna Zabielska

Harp

Katarzyna graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków in the harp class of professor Bogumiła Lutak-Modrinič. She perfected her technique during master classes with Elżbieta Szmyt, Susann McDonald, Joanna Kozielska and Nataliya Konovalenko. She has performed under the baton of Jean-Luc Tingaud, Krzysztof Penderecki, Marcin Nałęcz-Niesiołowski and Hooman Khalatbari among others.

She took part in the concert of professor Eugenia Umińska. She has also collaborated with the Spanish tenor Juan de Dios Mateos and sopranos Katarzyna Oleś-Blacha, Elżbieta Towarnicka and Łucja Czarnecka. She has teamed up with Krakow composers professor Juliusz Łuciuk (premiere of the Papal Ode), Michał Papara and Kamil Kruk.

She performs as a soloist and has composed music for performances such as Cricoteka, and for professor Zbigniew Bajka from the Academy of Fine Arts. She took part in the Warsaw Autumn Festival with the Lutosławski Moderni Orchestra. Katarzyna performs with orchestras in Poland, and internationally Austria and the Czech Republic.

a founding member and past president of the Janina Garści Foundation she has organized the Children's Music Festivals. Most recently, in 2020, she represented Poland in the international harp marathon on the First World Harp Day.

Natalia Ryba

Viola

A Tarnów native, Natalia developed her musical prowess at the General Music School in Tarnów. She also graduated with honours from Academy of Music in Kraków. She has performed with numerous symphony, chamber and festival orchestras on Polish and foreign stages. For many years, Natalia participated in many national and international courses and competitions with Caldaia Quintet. She was a member of Caldaia Quintet for several years.

This unique opportunity to play in a group along with a harp in the background has inspired her to explore new arrangements of sounds.

Aleksandra Jaworska

Bass

Aleksandra has graduated with honours from the Music School of Oskar Kolberg in Radom, under the instruction of Ireneusz Winiarski. She continues to study under Krzysztof Firlus at the Academy of Music in Krakow. She has completed many master classes with double bass players, including Ruslan Lutsyk, Christine Hoock, Sante Rino Braia, and Adam Bogacki.

Aleksandra has performed alongside Sinfonietta Cracovia, Baltic Neopolis Orchestra, Lublin Philharmonic, and International Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra. She has played under the direction of Alexandre Desplata, Jerzy Dybała, Przemysław Zych among others.

She enjoys joining in cultural events, such as the Duetissimo Festival in Krakow, Crazy Music Days in Warsaw. In 2015, she performed with the orchestra for the play "Thinked Miracle, or Krakowiacy i Górale", organized by the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera (with original music by Jan Stokłosa and Zuzanna Falkowska). Competitively she has won 2nd prize at the International String Instrument Competition in Elbląg (2017) and 3rd place at the 3rd National Cello and Double Bass Tournament (2014).
